Friday Appointment changes

We are changing how our appointment system operates on a Friday. For more information on this, please click the "Appointments" tab at the top of the page and select "Friday appointment changes".

Vaccine update 20/02/20

 Vaccines are still available for Adult Flu and shingles for those who are eligible.

Friday Appointment System Change Notice


We have been operating a triage-style led appointment system on Fridays for the last 2 and a half years. This has been a useful way of managing appropriate and rapid patient access on Fridays, when demand can often be higher and unpredictable. However, due to the unprecedented rise in our patient list size and in patient expectation, we now have to move to an appointment system which will enable us to better manage patient access on Fridays. Commencing on Friday 13th December we will now run our Friday appointment system in a similar way to Monday-Thursday. This will mean that there will be a limited selection of routine appointments, telephone appointments, 48 hour (urgent) appointments, and emergency (same day) appointments. Any patient looking to make an emergency appointment will be offered the first available appointment only.
